Metrioshka (metryoshka) or nesting dolls came to life in Semynov, Russia at the end of the 19th century; and from there made their journey around the world.
These collectible dolls were originally created to recognize and nurture the generational love in the home. People of all ages can appreciate the fine craftsmanship of these wooden figurines. Each Metroishka is hand painted by a contemporary artist in Russia.
